Our Strategy

Success stories like Instashred motivate us to find, fund and grow entrepreneurial businesses. It takes a special chemistry between companies and financial partners to be successful. A strength at Peterson Partners is our ability to identify the players in a range of industries and to forge solid relationships built on a mutual understanding of the business.

Peterson Partners is a private equity investment firm with a unique approach. Since 1995, Peterson Partners has invested in more than 50 portfolio companies in numerous industries. We are one of the few private equity firms focused on backing businesses whose revenues are between $50 million and $100 million, with equity needs ranging from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000.

Our strategy is simple: success comes from backing talented entrepreneurs. We value leadership and creative thinking and find many of these leaders in smaller businesses. At the same time, we’re interested in creating companies of scale and enduring value.

Peterson Partners has a demonstrated track record of creating value for our investment partners and outside investors:  we are ranked in the top percentile of investment groups in the U.S. for return on investment over a 10-year period.

Today we have over $300 million of capital under management and are looking for talented, creative, out-of-the-box thinking executives with strong leadership skills and a desire to partner with a view to the long-term. Because Peterson Partners is not dependent on outside capital or third party investors’ timetables and expectations, we are able to invest over a long time horizon in businesses we believe have longevity and the potential to grow. How does this translate to a CEO? It means that you will have one-on-one support from a partner. It also means opportunities don’t languish in indecision. The accessibility of our senior management team opens doors to growth.

Our Investments

We've built our reputation on businesses that we know and understand from the inside out. We actively seek businesses with more than $10 million in revenue that are simple, but with strong, defensible market positions. Our portfolio companies are engaged in: business services, light manufacturing, and consumer goods and services.
